It is at Swinburne House, Swinburne Street, Gateshead. It is
the first building you see on the right hand side as you go over the
Tyne Bridge. It is an old building. There is a lift.
What sort of people go?
It is women only. Ask when you ring about access for wheelchairs – it
depends on the activity.

classes. You go along first for an introduction and to see what is suitable

The class is for anyone, but is specially for people who find it difficult

Guided History Walks.
What will I be doing?
Walking around Newcastle with someone who can tell you about
what happened in the past. They point out interesting places. Sometimes
it is an area (like the Quayside ).Sometimes it is about a special
story (like murders In Newcastle).
What days and times is it on?
Some walks are on an evening and some are during the day.
There is a walk every day in the summer from the middle of the Newcastle to the Millennium Bridge.
Does it cost anything?
£2 if you have a Tyne and Wear bus pass.(£3 if you do not).

How to get there?
It depends where the walk is meeting.
What sort of people go?
The walks are for everyone. They last a long time (about
2 hours) and go up and down hills. So some people might get
tired. You need to be able to keep up with with the group. It can be
hard to hear what the guide is saying if there is lot of traffic. If
you think you might get lost, take someone with you.
