Where can I find out what is going on?At your local library. They have information. Just ask at the counter.Your local community centreswill know what is going on in your area.At the Tourist Information Centre. They can tell you about places for days out. Ring (0191) 261 0610 or call in at 128 Grainger St. Next to 'Oddbins' -just along from the Monument, or at the Central Station.
In the newspaper. The Evening Chronicle has a page that tells you about the pictures, clubs and other things. On Thursday night they have a separate bit that tells you about what is on. City Life is a free paper that comes through your door. It has a bit at the back about what is on. There is a free magazine called The Crack which you can get at the library and other places. That tells you all about music and other events.
Through the post.If there is something you are
interested in, like plays or dancing, you can ask to go on the mailing
list for different places. For example, if you like musicals, you can
go on the mailing list for the Opera House and the Theatre Royal. Then
they will send you information about what is coming up there. There are
websites on the computer. Have a look at the page that links to other
websites.
