There are now
quite a few Easy Access buses. They have a ramp up to the front of the
bus and a space for a wheelchair. If you want to try getting on one
in private to see how you get on, ring (0845) 606 0260 to see
when there are chances to do this.
You can get a map that shows you which routes are Easy Access and
shows you places you can go. Ring (0845) 606 0260 any day.
If you find it difficult to use the buses, you might be able to join the Taxi Link scheme.
You can use the Taxi Link scheme if you get the high rate mobility bit of the DLA, or if you get attendance allowance or if you are registered as blind or very partially sighted. If you have a learning disability you can join if you get a letter to say that you cannot use the buses. Ring and ask to find out more.

Anyone can get the Link Up buses. They are accessible and run in your local area. They have special bus stops as well as the usual ones. They are free to get at the bus stop if you have a pass.
You can ask the Link Up bus to pick you up from home. You have to pay for this.
