Dancing and listening to guest DJ's. Meeting people

First Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm

£5.00. If you bring a supporter they will have to pay £2.50

How do I get there?

It is at World Headquarters, Cutis Mayfield House, Carliol Square. Down the road next to the Fire Station on Pilrim Street and it is on the right.

What sort of people go?

People with learning disabilities and their friends. You must be over 16.

What will I be doing?

Clubbing, dancing and listening to music and DJ's. There is a chill--out room and a bar.

What days and times is it on?

Friday evenings, Usually the last Friday of every month but check.
7.00 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.

Does it cost anything?

It costs £2 to get in. Carers get in free.

How do I get there?

It is in two places - one month it is at the Sage on the Quayside, then the next month it is at the Caedmon Hall.

The Sage is the big building with the glass roof near the Millennium Bridge. You can get the bright yellow bus Q1 from Newcastle Central Station. It stops outside the Sage.

The Caedmon Hall is at Gateshead Central Library, Prince Consort Road, Gateshead, It is quite difficult to find on your own. You can catch buses 722, 723, 724, 231, 709 or 728 from Eldon Square or 21, 24, 25 or 27 from outside the old Odeon Cinema. You will have to walk a little way to the library.

What will I be doing?

Mixing with other people with learning disabilitites. Different clubs have different activities. There might be pool, table tennis or bingo. Most of them go out on trips and have discos.

There are different clubs on different evenings. Look at the list below.

Does it cost anything?

You have to pay subs (some money to go in) every time the club meets. These are different at different clubs. You also often have to pay a membership fee. Ring to ask about this.
